apartment description
The living room is white-on-white, the windows covered in lace, lights draped lazily across them. The lights take away from the expensiveness of everything in the room, and it's the reason she's chosen them. In the summer, the windows are thrown wide, but in the winter they're shut tight, and the whole apartment has a feel of over-warmth to it. Somehow, it smells of the sea.  The bedroom is also white-on-white, with a touch of blue in the carpets strewn about the space, the chair, the ottoman - ocean meeting sky. Again, it is opulent, but in a way that is lazy and not careful. The bed is the centerpiece; it is what is immediately meant to draw the eye in the room. It smells of dried flowers and salt and an underpinning of warmth and smoke.  |
